"A Hotel on Marvin Gardens" is about a friendly game of Monopoly. The central character is K.C., the powerful owner of ME, a magazine blatantly devoted to "self-help, self-promotion and self-gratification."
K.C. holds a marathon Monopoly game party every year on May Day at her island retreat in Long Island Sound. As the Monopoly game progresses, the players engage in a real-life struggle for position and power that mirrors their game tactics.
The weather outside, as well as their relationships, turn stormy as the game progresses. How much is K.C. prepared to lose, in order to be the winner?
